Our Volunteers
Neighborhood Clinic is almost entirely volunteer staffed - Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician”s Assistants, Counselors & Residents from Tacoma Family Medicine typically volunteer once every 4 to 6 weeks.
All Nursing staff are volunteers with the exception of the Clinic Coordinator. Pascal Debons is the Clinic Coordinator and is responsible for scheduling all volunteers as well as directing the flow of both Monday and Thursday evening clinics.
All medical care providers must carry their own malpractice insurance, as the clinic does not provide this. Malpractice Insurance for volunteers is currently provided by funding through AHEC (the Western Washington Area Health Education Center). This FREE insurance is provided for volunteerism only to Physicians, Physician Assistants, Dentists, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Pharmacists, and Dental Hygienists - licensed in the State of WA, current in continuing education, when volunteering their time serving patients in need.
If you are interested in volunteering at the Neighborhood Clinic, please e-mail us at info@neighborhoodclinictacoma.org.
